Last week at preschool I taught a Butterfly lesson. Since there isn't really anywhere to go on a field trip to see butterflies at this time of year, I planned a butterfly party. We decorated butterflies and played a few butterfly games, but the highlight was having a Very Hungry Caterpillar feast. We tried all the foods mentioned in the Very Hungry Caterpillar book by Eric Carle. The kids had a great time trying all the foods. At the end I offered them a "nice green leaf" like the caterpillar eats, but there were no takers. (o:
