Aw - my sweet, little baby. I am sad to move on from this time of life. I've loved doing our preschool co-ops with my girls. I've loved working so much with great friends and getting to be so hands on with teaching. It has been fun to watch my little preschoolers learn about fish, trees, transportation, shapes, etc. But especially watching them learn how to find joy in the world around them and how to make friends. My time with my girls during their preschool years has been priceless. Good job my little Loo!

Gemia looked cute though! It was kind of funny that half the preschoolers were struggling at their graduation. Probably a bit of stage fright - there were lots of moms, dads and even grandparents watching.
After the ceremony the kids ate friendship GORP - they all brought an ingredient to mix in. This was their fun snack to watch during the preschool slideshow. It wouldn't be preschool graduation without one of my slideshows. And it wouldn't follow tradition without some sort of stressful mishap that almost prevented the slideshow from happening! I am an incurable procrastinator and finished the slideshow at 10:30 p.m. the night before. (Actually, earlier than other years, I was so proud!) However, something kept going terribly wrong when the slideshow was rendering. I tried several things until about 1:00 a.m. Then I gave up and went to bed in tears. Vern* took pity on me and insisted I let him try. He is seriously the most magical person when it comes to tech stuff. I have yet to witness him not figure something out, he does not give up and knows about 20 ways to do things and usually one of them works. My love for him grew exponentially as he worked until 3:00 a.m., when the rendering completed successfully! He had to get up a few hours later for work - seriously, that is the definition of love. And he wasn't even mad at me!
As we all watched the slideshow at Julie's house and I listened to the kids laugh and giggle at the fun pictures, I almost cried. No wait, I think I did cry. I was so grateful Vern* made that fun memory of watching the show all together possible.
Do we look a little excited that we "graduated" too? Melanie, Tina, Gemia, Kayelynn, Arianne and I - we just missed Monica for the picture. It was quite a year - Tina had Madeline last fall, Kayelynn had a horrible first trimester of pregnancy and was bedridden, Melanie and Julie sold their houses and moved and Gemia was in the process of selling her house, Arianne had health problems, Monica went back to school and I guess I had the most "boring" year. (O: Somehow we juggled everything around and pulled off an entire year of preschool between the 8 of us. My friendships with these ladies was another huge bonus of doing a co-op. Love you girls!
Oh, did I mention that my big mother/daughter activity was this same night?? After my 3:00 a.m. slideshow stress. Somehow I survived and it was actually a pretty great day!
