A couple weeks ago, Angie had a fabulous idea to do a special surprise for Elizabeth's 50th birthday. I LOVE surprises, so I was thrilled about the idea! On Tuesday night, Elizabeth thought she was meeting Angie and her husband Aaron at P.F. Chang's for a quaint birthday dinner. When she walked in and saw a big table full of familiar faces she thought at first that it was a coincidence and kept asking Angie where Aaron was. (O: It made me laugh because I've been surprised like that before and know how disorienting it is!

Darinda and Angie
Rebecca, me and Shannan. We had some really good talks that night over lettuce wraps and Mongolian beef. I was feeling pretty exhausted and discouraged with worry over selling the house. They cheered me up and reminded me that things would work out and it would just take a little faith. Elizabeth also took the time after dinner to help calm my nerves and make sure I was doing okay. She saw me Saturday when I was particularly stressed out after going over the market analysis for the house. It was totally depressing and made me feel like we were crazy for even trying to sell a home right now. She told me with tears in her eyes that she knew it would all work out and I didn't need to worry. Her conviction calmed my nerves tremendously and I believed her. I felt so uplifted and
rejuvenated after a night with these amazing women. They buoyed me up and reminded me that I could do this and it would all work out. As I walked out of the restaurant feeling my load was lighter I thought to myself, "And I'm leaving these friends?!" It was a tearful night - mostly tears of gratitude. As we left, Shannan handed me a fortune and said, "I must have grabbed your cookie." It said,
"Look with favor upon a bold beginning." I love that. It's so perfect. I have it taped to my laptop. Thank you Shannan.
The sweet and beautiful birthday girl!
This was such a fun and sweet night. I cherish every single moment I can have with my wonderful friends these days.
Angie always goes all out in everything she does and makes everyone feel special. I want to be just like her when I grow up. I was so happy she thought of this way to treat Elizabeth to a special night!
