My baby is officially in Kindergarten! I remember Angela was just a year old when I took Sarah to her first day of Kindergarten. )o: I can't believe it. Since her birthday is so late, Johnny Boy* and I even talked about having her wait another year. Especially considering the insanity of school anyway with this huge move coming up. But no matter how we looked at it, Angela was so ready to go. She would have been so upset to wait another year. She has been starting to read and she already feels like she is left behind her sisters. We knew we made the right choice when Angela was even complaining after her first few days that she didn't get to stay at school as long as her big sisters did. She LOVES school!
What a cutie pie. Angela's first official day was two days after Sarah and Natalie.
The day before her "official" first day, she got to come in for a little orientation with me. We did a little scavenger hunt, made kissing hands and she got to listen to a story with her teacher.
Walking in with her big sisters. She was so excited to finally stay without mommy. She's been to school as my little side kick for two years and couldn't wait to go on her own.
Mrs.
G. We know her as Ms.
H, so her new married name has taken some getting used to! We were so excited to hear she got married over the summer. (o: She was Natalie's teacher two years ago and we think she is the best! Angela came to help in her class all the time, so she and Mrs.
G. were already good friends!
Natalie and Lydia waiting in line in the morning.
And another at lunch. These two were so excited to get in the same class this year!
Angela couldn't wait to ride the bus home for her first time! Jasmine is her class and bus buddy. These two have known each other for a long time. Jasmine's big sister is Sarah's best friend, Monica!
I snapped this on one of the days I came in to help the first week. Look at those awesome
playdoh "B's"! A ++++++!
Sigh - my three girls all going to school now. I have to admit, I cried a little when I came back to the car after dropping them all off. My little babies. It was nice I wasn't all alone, though. Johnny Boy* was waiting in the car for me. I've had such a great time with Johnny Boy* being in-between jobs. He came with us every morning the first week of school to drop off the girls. And we got to enjoy some free time in the mornings when all three of them were at school. Mostly working on moving stuff, but we went to get
Jamba smoothies one morning, did some appliance browsing at Best Buy and had fun relaxing together. It's actually been a lot of fun. I wish we could find a job where he could just not work and stay home all the time! (O:
