These two just crack me up. Almost every picture of them is like this. This year, Emma wasn't able to come to Natalie's birthday party and Natalie wasn't able to go to Emma's birthday party. So Kim, Emma's mom, and I hatched a plan to make up for this. We decided to have the girls go on a special outing together to make up for it! Natalie was
sooo excited all day and couldn't wait. She hasn't seen Emma all summer.
We met up at Spaghetti Factory for dinner and had a great time. Part of Emma's birthday present for Natalie was a stationary set so she can write to Emma. I loved that idea and was so grateful Kim thought of it!
After dinner we headed to the movie theater to see Nanny
McPhee Returns. I learned that Kim is the most prepared lady ever! She brought cups that the movie theater refills for less than $2! Plus she brought her own candy, popped popcorn and blankets because the theater is always cold.
Geesh! She thought of everything and made the movie extra fun! The movie was pretty cute and we laughed a lot. I think the girls had a memorable and special night. Natalie will miss Emma. She was the friend who really helped Natalie get through first grade. She struggled a lot with homesickness during the year, but when she became friends with Emma that issue diminished quite a bit. They were always together. Good friends are priceless.
