BBQ Send Off

Well, we've known for some time now that Kim and Mike and their cute family were headed for Texas this summer, but I tried to deny it for as long as possible. )o:

Alas, the time to say goodbye finally arrived, so we decided to have a BBQ party send off for some of our most favorite friends.

We had such a great time which was bittersweet because it only reminded us of how much fun we all have together and how much we will miss them!! We are really, really, really hoping that they come back next summer (that's the plan for now) for a residency at OHSU.

Allie loved the rootBEER at the party. (o: The kids (and adults) all thought the bottles were so funny because it looked like they were drinking beer. Maybe we are all immature and a little rebellious, but check out the picture of Angela by the pool below with her rootBEER. How is that not funny?


Sarah and Allie are going to miss each other a lot. They have been so sad about this move. They have been the cutest friends and luckily are old enough that they can keep in touch via e-mail and the phone.

Luke is still betrothed to Angela whatever state he lives in. (o: Isn't he so cute?

After the pool party, we partied with the Wii and laughed our heads off trying to do the Wii sports - adults included - was hilarious. My favorite was watching Mike play the Princess Peach - he was a little too good at being her! (O:

What a fun night - I wish I would have gotten a picture of Kim and I. Even though I usually hate pictures of myself. We will miss you guys soooo much!! This year won't go by fast enough. I wonder if we can think of an excuse to fly to Lubbock?? (o: Or maybe end up in Disneyland at the same time???
