So every summer around June and every Christmas Nancy, Rose and Joanne and I try to have a girls' night. The summer one is to celebrate our birthdays which all are within two weeks of each other. And the Christmas-time outing is halfway through the year and seems like a good time to get together - except it often gets to busy and then we just do it in January, which happened this year. This time we met at Macaroni Grill and had a lovely time. We talk NON-STOP the entire time. We laugh, we cry we catch up on everything and often we reminisce the days when we were running around like chickens with our heads cut off in primary together. (FYI - we served as a primary presidency together 4 years ago and we really bonded through that experience.)
I love these ladies and I'm so grateful to be blessed with such wonderful girlfriends in my life. I admire these ladies for their talents and the way they handle trials and for their great sense of humor and faith. I always feel so happy when I leave one of our girls' nights and hope we can continue for years to come. After our dinner, as we left the restaurant, Rose and I ended up chatting in my car for another hour! If we didn't have to get back to real life, I wonder how long we would all talk before we ran out of things to say? (o: Hmmmmm...
